Major Project Work
Client: Manukau City Council/Flowerdays Enterprises Ltd
Project: Great South Road Stormwater Crossing Upgrade
Dates: December 2009 – 2010
Manukau City Council and Flowerdays enterprises combined together to complete a Stormwater crossing upgrade across Great South Road Manukau. Not having Traffic Management resources to complete the works, they approached Temporary Traffic Control Ltd to see if we could help. Our response was "yes we can", and we began our working relationship with Manukau City Council. Great South Road being the heavy Haulage route posed many issues for our design team but the project is finished and has been a success with no delays to motorists or the Heavy Haulage teams that constantly use the road.

Client: DCN Drilling Ltd
Project: Hunua No 4 Water Transfer Pipeline Lay line Testing
Dates: July 2009 – November 2009
Hunua No 4 project is expected to deliver Auckland with enough water for the next 100 years. The extent of the project is proposed to be approximately 39km long, stretching from Flat Bush in Manukau to Green Lane in Auckland City. With numerous possible routes for the proposed pipe line yet to be decided, a comprehensive study needed to be undertaken to establish plausible lay lines.
DCN Drilling was awarded the contract to provide the bore hole testing and piezometer installations. Dave, from DCN, had engaged a previous Traffic Management contractor to assist him with the project, but it was soon determined the contractor was unable to help him out. Manukau City Council contacted TTC and asked us if we could assist Dave in anyway. Within a week Dave was back on the road and heading quickly to completion of his contract. TTC were more than happy to assist Dave and together we completed the work, and the information being provided from the testing and Piezometers is being gathered and collated.

Client: Northern Gateway Alliance
Project: Northern Gateway Motorway Extension
Dates: 2004 – April 2009
The Northern Gateway Toll Road ALPURT B2 was undertaken by The Northern Gateway Alliance (NGA) in December 2004. After a short time, TTC was engaged to supply NGA with all of their TTM needs. The majority of the project was on private land, but two keys areas remained within the public eye at all times - Grand Drive, State Highway 1A, and Johnstones Hill, State Highway 1N, The start and finish points for the proposed new alignment, with Johnstones Hill and the Tunnels were the more challenging area of the two but neither of them being less important than the other or the rest of the project. As it was the main link roads to Northland, a lot of restriction was applied to the construction from Transit New Zealand, with the majority of work needed on the roads done during the night to reduce impact and delay to the road user. Before the opening, extensive works were needed on the approach alignments to the project, with numerous motorway closures, to ensure safe transitions for the public on opening night. TTC had great pleasure in opening the motorway to the public on opening night.

Client: Fulton Hogan Limited
Project: Old Albany Township Beautification
Dates: 2005-2006
Fulton Hogan were the contractors, contracted to change Old Albany Township from the old out of date look into the new look of today.
At the time, with their limited amount of resources available, they asked TTC to provide them with Traffic Management.
